Begin your career in dental assisting with courses offered by MCVSD-Continuing Education, in collaboration with Andrew L. Howard DMD of Morristown. You will acquire knowledge and put your skills to clinical practice in an actual dental office. Students will be prepared for an entry level position as an assistant, starting on a path that can lead to advanced skills and more responsibility. You can take Dental Assisting and its companion course Infection Control, or you can choose to continue your dental assisting studies by additionally taking Dental Radiography. Prerequisites: High school or state diploma (bring to first class), minimum of 18 years of age, acceptable score in pre-assessment test. (See catalog for details).
