Foundations in Fabrication (Year 1)

Start your welding career with a solid base of skills in industry math practices, measurement, blueprint reading, metallurgy, and planning. Throughout the course you will learn the three major welding processes: shielded metal arc (STICK), gas metal arc (MIG) as well as gas tungsten arc (TIG). This initial course meets 2 days a week from September to April: Tuesday evening 6:00pm to 9:00pm and Saturday morning 8:00am to 11:00am.

PREREQUISITES: High school/state diploma, postsecondary diploma, certificate or transcript. See safety wear required.
