SEAS (Society for Educaiton of American Sailors) is a not-for-profit 501c (3) educational organization dedicated to teaching basic and intermediate sailing with the emphasis on safety. Learn sailing principles and receive hands-on experience utilizing a mix of boats (single-sail and multi-sail) on the safety of Budd Lake. SEAS certified instructors teach all courses. Successful students receive a SEAS Certificate in Basic or Intermediate Sailing and current year membership in SEAS. Both courses include two (2) sessions of virtual instruction + sixteen (16) hours in (2) supervised sailing sessions on Budd Lake. PREREQUISITE: Any student under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Students must weigh at least 85 lbs, and must be able to float for 5 minutes without a lifejacket. Each student must supply a PFD (life jacket) for water sessions.
