 Program Description

Approved by the NJ Department of Education and the NJ Department of Consumer Affairs/Board of Cosmetology, this comprehensive 1,000+ hour program completely prepares you for the written and practical exams you need to pass to be granted a NJ license. Lecture, demonstration and hands-on application of skills/techniques comprise this exciting and lucrative career-oriented program. Styling, hair care, perms, barbering, coloring, waxing and facials as well as manicures and pedicures are all facets of the course of study. A professional toolkit and access to online exam prep is included in the tuition. Mid-course you will be applying your skills at least once a week when the classroom becomes a working salon. 


Prerequisites:
High School diploma or equivalent
Acceptable scores on pre-entrance exam

Financial Aid: Need-based federal aid available to qualified FULL TIME STUDENTS ONLY (see information, below)


Tuition
2017-2018 School Year
$8,752 (for residents of Morris, Sussex, Warren counties)
$9,802 (all other county residents)
Additional expenses to consider: books, uniforms, medical clearance, field trip fees and licensing fees.

Financial Aid
Our Adult Cosmetology program qualifies for federal financial aid. Students must complete the FAFSA (online at www.fafsa.gov; our school code is 01546) to begin the financial aid process and prove financial need. To complete the process, you must first be accepted into the program.
Other avenues of financial assistance to students are the Veteran’s Administration, as well as other agencies. It is the student’s responsibility to pursue these benefits.


Payment Plan

An initial deposit of $500 ($100 is non-refundable) is required to reserve a seat in the program, once the candidate is accepted. Tuition payments may be made in (2) installments. The first payment is due prior to the class start date; the second payment is due by February 1, 2018.
