This intensive 15-week course focuses on developing proficiency in Flux Core Arc Welding with gas shielding (FCAW-G4g) in the challenging 4G overhead position. Designed for intermediate to advanced welders seeking to master one of welding's most demanding positions, this course combines essential theoretical knowledge with extensive hands-on practice in overhead welding techniques. Students will progressively build competence in the FCAW-G process specifically for the 4G overhead position, one of the most challenging and highly sought-after welding skills in industry. The course emphasizes proper body positioning, gravity-defying techniques, and specialized safety considerations unique to overhead welding. Upon completion, students will demonstrate the ability to consistently produce high-quality, code-compliant overhead welds suitable for industrial applications. Students must complete FCAW-G3g first in order to take this course.
